Now: Scientific symposium to celebrate the 100th anniversary of insulin

Througout the world people are celebrating the 100 anniversary of the world changing discovery of insulin. At DDA we will have our own symposium later this year. But right now the University of Toronto is inviting people to join their symposium.
The university's symposium is providing comprehensive updates on the latest advances in diabetes management and treatment through a series of online sessions and online, live, panel discussions with experts.
The educational sessions include the latest information on the management of diabetes and its complications, proven strategies and practical tips for improving patient care, and translation of the latest diabetes research into clinical practice.
Furthermore, the sessions of the symposium will be recorded for long term access referencing.
A DDA-symposium in May
On the 7th of May 2021, the Danish Diabetes Academy will also host a symposium to celebrate the invention of insulin.
The programme is broad and covers a historical overview of insulin, insulin treatment in a global and future perspective, aspects of insulin resistance, pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes, focus on diagnosing diabetes subtypes and overviews of diabetes technologies in a clinical setting.
The symposia is free of charge and everybody with an interest in diabetes and endocrinology is invited.
