This year, we will celebrate a very special centenary. 2021 marks the 100 anniversary of the world changing discovery of insulin.

This event is celebrated in Denmark and across the world.  We are pleased to share the invitation to the symposium ‘Celebration of a Century with Insulin’ that takes place the 17th of September 2021 at Comwell Conference Center Bella Sky, Copenhagen in collaboration with the Danish Diabetes Academy, the five Steno Centers and the Danish Society of Endocrinology. We have invited highly esteemed researchers within the field of diabetes and insulin-therapy to give a talk on their perspectives on the history of insulin.

The program is broad and covers a historical overview of insulin, insulin treatment in a global and future perspective, aspects of insulin resistance, pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes, focus on diagnosing  diabetes subtypes  and overviews of diabetes technologies in a clinical setting.

The symposia is free of charge and everybody with an interest in diabetes and endocrinology is invited.

We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you.
