The Novo Nordisk Foundation Research Leader Programme Grants Awarded to Jørgen Wojtaszewski and Lærke Gasbjerg

The Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF) has awarded 37 new grants through its major Research Leader Programme that supports leading researchers at different career stages. Two of the 37 new grants have been awarded to Professor Jørgen Wojtaszewski and Assistant Professor Lærke Gasbjerg.
Jørgen Wojtaszewski, Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports, University of Copenhagen, has previously been involved in the Danish Diabetes Academy (DDA) as an organiser of the Summer School and other activities, and is also active in the Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA). Jørgen Wojtaszewski has been awarded a grant of DKK 9.998.478 for his project Illuminating the signaling architecture of skeletal muscle insulin resistance.
Lærke Gasbjerg, Molecular and Translational Pharmacology, University of Copenhagen, has previously taught in the Danish Diabetes Academy (DDA). Lærke Gasbjerg has been awarded a grant of DKK 9.998.511 for her project Mechanistic and therapeutic investigations of splanchnic blood redistribution.
