SSSD - Young Investigator Award
The Scandinavian Society for the Study of Diabetes (SSSD) award prize (10 000 Norwegian kroner) is given to two young investigators who have published an important paper within the field of experimental or clinical diabetes research. The Young Investigator Awards will be awarded at the meeting in Trondheim in April 2020. The criteria are:
The candidates for the award should be 35 years or younger by December 31, 2019.
The paper should have been published during 2019, and the candidate should be the first author of the paper.
An application for the award sent by the candidate, including date of birth, should be sent together with a pdf copy of the paper electronically to the Chair of the Society Bjørn Olav Åsvold, bjorn.o.asvold@ntnu.no to arrive not later than January 15, 2020.
The award winner will be notified by the middle of February 2020. The award is contingent upon the awardee presenting her/his paper during a 15 min presentation at the annual SSSD meeting in Trondheim April 16-18 2020. Travel and meeting expenses will be covered separately.
