Lecture by David McIntyre on challenges concerning implementation of uniform diagnostic criteria for GDM

On April 25, Dr. McIntyre from Brisbane, Australia will give a lecture with the title “Implementation of uniform diagnostic criteria for GDM – challenges in different populations”. David McIntyre has started a 2-year position as Visiting Professor for the Danish Diabetes Academy hosted by Rigshospitalet.

ONE OF THE KEY INVESTIGATORS IN THE HAPO STUDY

David McIntyre is one of the key investigators in the Hyperglycemia And pregnancy Outcome (HAPO) study. The new diagnostic criteria for GDM recently endorsed by WHO are based on the results of the HAPO study, and he will collaborate with a number of Danish researchers in exploring the possible consequences of implementing these criteria in a Danish population.
