Expert Meetings: Review of Danish Data on Type 1 Diabetes, and Lessons for Global Contexts

DDA Visiting Professor David Beran has, in collaboration with Professor Kurt Højlund and Professor Anders Green from Steno Diabetes Center Odense, organised a national expert workshop and an online meeting focusing on existing data on type 1 diabetes in Denmark, and how lessons learned therefrom can act as a roadmap for improving knowledge on type 1 diabetes globally. National Expert Workshop: Whitebook on Type 1 Diabetes in Denmark

The purpose of this meeting is to present a comprehensive review of the existing data as well as new analyses on type 1 diabetes in Denmark in the form of a whitebook. The aim is to have expert review of this data with the idea of finalising the whitebook, as well as formulate lessons from Denmark for other contexts in order to improve global knowledge on type 1 diabetes.
The National Expert Workshop is intended for clinicians and researchers familiar with the Danish diabetes data environment, as well as junior colleagues with an interest in this area.

Online Meeting: Denmark, Data, and Diabetes – lessons for other contexts

The purpose of this meeting is to share current knowledge on data and data collection on type 1 diabetes globally as well as learn what lessons can be taken from the Danish context for other countries. The lessons from Denmark will be presented as a roadmap for improving our knowledge on type 1 diabetes globally, with participants able to provide their input. The aim of this meeting is to develop next steps in improving data and knowledge on type 1 diabetes.
This meeting is open to all people with an interest in epidemiology, data collection, and type 1 diabetes.
