EMBO workshop on Brown Adipose Tissue, 24-27 May in Spain

The overall aim of this EMBO workshop, organized by Professor Stephan Herzig from German Research Center for Environmental Health, is to provide an up-to-date insight into the field of brown adipose tissue (BAT) metabolism and its therapeutic potential and to bring scientists together to stimulate discussions and the exchange of knowledge, concepts and methodology in this increasingly recognized area of research.
TOPICS FROM BAT PREGENITORS AND STEM CELLS TO HUMAN BAT AND CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS FOR OBESITY THERAPIES WILL BE COVERED
Speakers will cover topics from BAT progenitors and stem cells to human BAT and clinical implications for obesity therapies. This range of research topics will permit participants to decipher the underlying regulatory network in brown adipose tissue function and how they may be affected in disease.
