Second generation antipsychotic (SGA) medications are used in the management of schizophrenia and a growing number of off label conditions.
While effective in reducing psychoses, these drugs have noted metabolic side effects including weight gain, dyslipidemia and insulin resistance.
This webinar will highlight recent work looking at the mechanisms of SGA-induced metabolic dysfunction, and novel approaches that can be used to protect against it.
