Background & Objectives
Poor energy dense diets and physical inactivity are traditional risk factors for lifestyle-related diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Disruption of circadian rhythms has been identified as an important risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, and timing of food intake and feeding-fasting periods has been shown to affect circadian clocks in metabolic organs. The aim of the meeting is to build a strong international network among leading researchers at different stages and institutions within the field of circadian rhythm, chrono-nutrition, and diabetes, obesity and metabolism in humans to stimulate further research and leverage the quality of science in this area.
Time & Place
Dates: April 4th 12 pm to April 5th 3 pm, 2019.
Venue: Schæffergården, Jægersborg Allé 166, DK-2820 Gentofte, Denmark
Who can attend?
The meeting is open to all researchers with interest and expertise in the scientific area. Due to a limited number of seats (approx. 50), participants are selected based on their abstract. Therefore, submission of an abstract is a requirement.
