PhD student Caroline Maag Kristensen has received an exchange travel grant of 10.000 DKK to visit the laboratory of Professor Cora Weigert, University of Tübingen, Germany, from 13 February - 14 April 2017. 

Caroline Kristensen is PhD student at Department of Biology, Universiy of Copenhagen. The aim of her PhD project entitled "Impact of exercise training on hepatic ER stress" is to investigate the effect of training endoplasmatic reticulum (ER) stress in the liver of mice. During her stay in Tübingen, Caroline Kristensen will follow the daily work of Professor Cora Weigerts group at the Department of Internal Medicine, the University Hospital of Tübingen.

She will be invovled with characterizing the metabolism of a recently required liver cell line in their laboratory, that can help support the results she has obtained through her earlier mouse studies. When she returns to Copenhagen she is planing to implement the liver cell culture technique in her own department.
