NEYD Annual Meeting: Call for abstracts
May 18th – 20th 2022 in
Bergen, Netherlands

North Europe Young Diabetologists (NEYD) has more than 30 years of tradition for joining young exceptional researchers from United Kingdom, Netherlands/Belgium and Denmark for a 3-days annual meeting. The nature of the meeting allows for discussion of research in a more intimate and stimulating setting compared to the bigger international diabetes meetings. The young researchers present their own research and discuss it with peers and world renown senior discussants. The meeting is an opportunity to meet and form collaborations with colleagues and many senior researchers have continued these collaborations long in to their careers.

Who: 30 young diabetes researchers (10 from each country) will be invited to present their research (15 min oral presentation + 5 min discussion) and will be joined by three senior discussants and the six meeting organisers (who are diabetes researchers at post-doc level).

When and where: May 18th – 20th 2022 at Blooming Hotel, Bergen, Netherlands.

How: Young diabetes researchers from research groups based in Denmark are urged to submit an abstract. Diabetes relevant research is mandatory. Based on the scientific quality of submitted abstracts, 10 researchers are invited for the meeting. Abstracts should include the following: Title, Authors, Background, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion. Word limit: 250 (excluding title and author information).

Abstract deadline: Tuesday March 1st 2022 (24:00 h) to email neyddenmark@gmail.com with name, position and workplace.

Costs: Participant fee of 200 € covering transportation and meeting expenses including accommodation and all meals. No fee for abstract submission.

Danish organising committee: Sofie Hædersdal, MD, PhD and Christoffer Martinussen, MD, PhD.
