A growing number of people live with chronic cardiovascular disease, and each year more than 55,000 Danes are diagnosed with cardivascular disease. Now, a new nationwide academy will bring together Denmark's experts in this field of research.
The new academy is called Danish Cardiovascular Academy (DCA). The aim of the academy is to improve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease. With a grant of DKK 150 million from The Novo Nordisk Foundation and a contribution from the Danish Heart Association of DKK 30 million, DCA is more than ready to begin their work.
