Event info

Event date:

11/09/2020 - 10:00

Registration deadline:

24/08/2020 - 00:00

As many universities and hospitals have tightened their rules regarding participation in meetings during the last few days, the symposium is postponed. A new date has not been set yet.

The DDA invites, in close collaboration with Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus (SDCA) and Center for Clinical Metabolic Research (CCMR) Gentofte Hospital, to a symposium on clinical metabolic physiology. The aim of this 2nd one-day symposium on clinical metabolic physiology is to create a forum for exchange of knowledge and ideas as well as networking between the participating laboratories. We want to facilitate new ideas by sharing, promoting and discussing (new as well as old) technology and methodology in the field of clinical metabolic physiology.

TIME & PLACE

Time: Friday 11 September 2020
Venue: Store Auditorium (the big auditorium), Gentofte Hospital, Gentofte Hospitalsvej 10A, 2900 Hellerup
Host: Center for Clinical Metabolic Research, Herlev Gentofte Hospital

WHO CAN ATTEND?

The symposium welcomes all researchers (translational and clinical) with an interest in clinical metabolic physiology, which focuses on physiology/pathophysiology of obesity, type 1 and 2 diabetes and other metabolic disorders, irrespective of their career status (i.e. master project students, PhD students, post doctoral fellows, research assistants, professors, etc.), scientific discipline or affiliation (academia, clinic, industry etc.).

Please note, that you are not guaranteed a seat at the symposium if you do not meet the target group requirements. The participants are selected on a first come, first served basis.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The organizing committee will select the presenting participants and encourage that the presentation should be more in the direction of a “lab–meeting” presentation rather than a polished version for a scientific meeting. Thus, presentations will typically include a new or older investigative models, technology or methodology with issues that are needed to be considered. The overall idea with the presentations is to highlight methodological challenges and hopefully, the audience will be willing to discuss the solutions. Our vision is that this meeting will Inspirer new projects and facilitates new collaborations between national and international research groups both in academia and in the life science industry.
