EASD Networking Event
The 55th Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes will take place in Barcelona, Spain 16-20 September 2019.
In that connection, the DDA and the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD) will host a guided tour in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona followed by a traditional Spanish dinner on 18 September 2019.
Participation is free of charge. Approximately 40 seats are available.
The DDA will be present at the conference at the Associations’ Village where we have a booth together with the DZD. Stop by for a chat and don't miss our "patient voices meets research-session" on the 17 September at 14:30 hrs.!

The DDA-DZD Networking Dinner is intended PhD Students and Postdoc Fellows from a Danish research institution.
The DDA warmly welcomes everyone who would like to stop by our booth for a chat during the conference days.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The aims of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes are to “encourage and support research in the field of diabetes the rapid diffusion of the acquired knowledge and to facilitate its application.”
The Danish Diabetes Academy will be present at the conference to highlight the research presented by Danish researchers and encourage networking and collaborations between Danish researchers and researchers from abroad.
On 18 September 2019, the DDA and DZD will host a joint Networking Dinner for the junior Danish and German researchers. Before the dinner we will get a guided tour of the Gothic area of Barcelona.
On 17 September 2019 at 14:30 hrs. the DDA and DZD will host a "blogger session" at our booth no. 17 at the Associations’ Village. Patient advocates will discuss relevant topics with Danish and German researchers. The moderator is diabetes advocate and founder of #dedoc, Bastian Hauck.

REGISTRATION

Participation in the networking dinner is free of charge. Approximately 40 seats are available and will be allocated on first-come, first-served basis.
A ticket to the Networking Event will be handed out at the DDA-DZD booth at EASD Associations' Village, so please come and pay us a visit during the first couple of conference days.

No-show fee
Please note that it is free of charge to participate in the DDA-DZD Networking Dinner, however the DDA will charge a no-show fee of 250 DKK if you do not show up and have not unregistered from the event prior to its start.
