DDA Summer School on Diabetes & Metabolism for PhD Students 2019
The aim of the DDA Summer School is to give course participants deep insight into novel aspects and developments within diabetes and its underlying molecular metabolism. Besides lectures from leading experts in the diabetes field, participants will meet other fellows within the field and become acquainted with their research projects and discuss their own research interests and activities at a high scientific level.

WHO CAN ATTEND?
The course is intended PhD students (both clinicians and basal scientists) working within diabetes, obesity, endocrinology, cardiology and other metabolic diseases.
Due to the limited number of seats on the course, you are not guaranteed a seat until you receive an e-mail with final confirmation. You will thus initially be placed on a waiting list, which will be prioritised according to your enrolment date (DDA-funded researchers and 2nd/3rd year PhD students will be prioritised).
Detailed description
Lectures will be given by national and international experts in Signalling Networks, Ectopic Fat Deposition, Drug targets and discovery, Mechanism & Metabolism of Obesity, Sex Hormones and Metabolism and Type 1 Diabetes.
You will actively participate in scientific discussions with the speakers and other course participants in smaller groups during the scientific sessions and as part of workshops. During the poster sessions and ‘meet-a-professor’ sessions you will be able to discuss your own research with experts in the field.
