Gentofte Professor receives the Niels Schwartz Sørensen Award

Professor Filip Knop, Daily Manager of the Center for Diabetes Research at Gentofte Hospital together with Professor Tina Vilsbøll, was awarded the distinguised Niels Schwartz Sørens Award of 50.000 DKK at the Annual Meeting of DES (Danish Society of Endocrinology) 2017.

IMPRESSING RESEARCH AND COMMITMENT

Filip Knop received the award for his years of impressing research within gastrointestinal hormones and endocrine regulation, and for his concurrent commitment to the foundation of an international acknowledged research unit at Gentofte Hospital.

FACTS ABOUT THE AWARD

The Niels Schwartz Sørensen Award was founded by the Danish Diabetes Association in 1992 in honour of deceased Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Consultant Niels Schwartz Sørensen.
